Thank you for reading the fourth edition of The Writer! We hope you had as much fun reading it as we had curating it.
Like the bluebonnets, our journal is in full bloom. We received a record number of submissions and made a record number of happy memories. Just a year ago, this journal was only an idea. But through lots of brainstorming, advertising, and most importantly, your submissions—our journal has grown to be a staple part of the UT writing sphere. But there’s still more to do.
UT offers limited resources for undergraduates to jumpstart their writing career—and we’re going to change that. By leveraging the author network of our
parent organization, Texas Writing Society, we aim to direct leading authors and publishers to this journal, so they can discover your work.
This journal would not be possible without our readers and contributors, and we want your voice to help shape its future. Whether you have ideas, feedback, or simply want to share your story, fill out the form on our home page to get in touch. We’d love to receive a letter back!
As we grow, we hope you grow with us and help keep this journal blossoming for years to come.
Happy Spring, -The Editorial Team
PS: we’re recruiting! If you’d like to join our team this fall, feel free to message us!
